Metal Clay Classes

Classes are personally instructed by
Lynn Cano, Certified PMC Instructor.
Lynn is also a certified Art and Special Education Teacher in the
Albuquerque Public School system. She currently teaches math, English,
art and other classes to a specialized population for the district’s high school
Behavioral Intervention Program.
Lynn has been an artist working in various media for over twenty years.
She brings a different and unique talent to the precious metal clay world using
her natural aptitude for working in clay. She enjoys creating her own
work as well as teaching others how to convey their imagination into
metal clays.

Three types of classes are offered,
Beginner,
Intermediate, and
Advanced.
Each of the classes vary in content,
depending on the the techniques
and level at
which she will be teaching.
Beginner classes will introduce the novice metal clay artist to a variety of
materials, and techniques, including firing.
This class does not require any previous metal clay
experience.
The intermediate level classes will build upon the techniques and
abilities learned in the basic classes.
In order to take this class you
need to be familiar with the basic techniques of working with metal clays.
Whereas, the advanced classes will expound upon the individuals imagination using all
prior techniques, abilities
and insight from past classes, and leap into
roads less traveled. The limits for these classes are only in the minds
of
the artists.
*This class requires that you have taken at least two of our
intermediate classes.
All Classes have limited
space available, so sign up early.

The classes below are all taught in Albuquerque NM
Limit of 5 per class.
Class I – Beginner #3040
In this class you will learn basic
techniques for working with precious metal clays.
You will make a pair of earrings a and pendant with a stone. You will also be
receiving a complete
tool kit with this class. Firing of your creations will be done
throughout the same day.
9:00am- 3:30pm No perquisite
required.

add silver findings and a stone to your pieces.
You will make a pendant, a pin, and a charm. No Prerequisite
required.
